Welcome to ArShah!

We are glad to present you ArShah, our distributed Chess Artificial Intelligence (AI) system with strong learning ability which we believe has all the potential to become world’s most innovative and successful project in this field.

Currently, ArShah is a small cluster which consists of six boxes with Intel Core 2 Quad, plus four with Intel i7 processors. By now ArShah has computed and stored over 6 billion of chess positions running the cluster. This is a small number and it is quite achievable to compute and store over thousands of billions chess positions with ArShah.

Being a system with strong emphasize on learning abilities ArShah is continuously improving itself. It is learning when the cluster is evaluating yet not computed positions and while playing with a human opponent. It is also possible for ArShah to analyze and learn already played games.

ArShah is distributed computational entity which is using the resources of each connected computer. It is possible to run ArShah client component not only in local network but also from anywhere in the internet.
It has been designed in such a way in order to use computational power of the internet itself, since every new instance of the client component is becoming the part of the computational cluster.

In case you would like to take a closer look you can
download and install ArShah with one-click-installer (for Windows XP/Vista/7). You can log in with custom username and password to see what it looks like.

There are two possible modes to play against ArShah. A plain mode called ArShah and advanced mode called ArShah Super in the declared games list.
In plain mode it is possible to play against ArShah using the resources of a single computer. And importantly in ArShah Super mode all the cells of the cluster are involved in the computations.
There is also nice to have feature for two human players to play with each other.

And finally, we suggest you to visit the Analytic Center which is a unique tool for analyzing different chess positions. It is possible for professional chess masters to observe the improvements of evolution of different chess positions in
Analytic Center.
